me: i just want to make sure we're going somewhere we'd have fun. which... i'm sure i could take us to a barn with a keg and we'd make it fun, but still. so kerri had an idea that i liked and thought was kind of cool. it would require travel, but it would be going to Baltimore, having a nice dinner, then going to howl at the moon. everyone i know who goes there has a blast. 2 issues: 1) people we hate possibly showing up and 2) one person is concerned you wouldn't like it

We finally got the group together to see Watchmen on Friday night.
It was gory and there was a lot of naked. Sarah and I felt uncomfortable many times, and I successfully hid under Nick’s coat during every Rorschach scene. That, and it was really cold in Rave and stupid me only wore my hoodie.
It was good. Don’t get me wrong. Nick insists we buy it on Blu-Ray. Okay. I imagine...
Nick: Like, might there be some decent artist in Bethlehem? Yes, but it’s tough to sort through the crap of all the untalented messes. The scenesters just prop up the other scenesters egos. I do like your work, you should draw me something.
Me: You've seen me draw like three things. What's there to like about it?
Nick: I’ve looked through your sketchbooks loser, take a compliment. I think you pay good attention to detail, and I like your shading. I’m no critic, but your stuff is easy on the eyes. Don’t ever become a scenester, please.
Chris: That's one thing I'll never go generic on - dryer sheets.
Me: Yeah, you might as well just put a piece of notebook paper in your dryer; it'll do the same thing.
Chris: Yeah, like those Great Value things, they just don't work.
Nick: But sometimes it's good. Like those Great Value hot dogs you got for the one barbecue. They weren't half bad. I was surprised.
